POSI JOISTS – AN INNOVATIVE STRUCTURE FOR THE INTERMEDIATE FLOOR

The Posi joists, beams with wood and metal, manufactured by Sepa are a sensible choice from both the building design engineer’s and the customer’s viewpoint.

Posi joists are made from first-rate sawn timber strength-graded by the factory’s own production system. The definite benefit of the Posi joist is that any required building technology, such as ventilation piping as well as sewer and water piping, can be freely routed within the structure of the intermediate floor. This makes the Posi joist a cost-efficient and quick method for implementing new and innovative solutions in construction sites.

When utilising Posi joists as an intermediate-floor structure, the structure is stiffened using so-called supporting beams made from timber which enable, for example, the balancing of vibration loads caused by the impact from steps.
